taking the a-line

I’m going to have to own up to not one, but two new black skirts: justification being that they’re different shapes to others than I already own. Thick cotton Nicole Farhi A-line, knee-length number: £9.99 from the Shelter boutique in South Hampstead; and longer, below-knee and fuller-flared Oliver Bonas skirt, £7, from the [cheaper] Shelter shop in Crouch End. All in a good cause, etc, etc. The longer skirt has nice pleating around the high waistband [top].

Oh, and there has been another black-things purchase since last update: a collarless, lightweight and very plain black shirt, brand unknown, from the animal-rescue charity shop in East Finchley. Can’t get a decent photo of it, but owning up nonetheless.
