Selective selection

Managed to get away with just two items on my latest trip to Brighton to see the folks, having turned down many more: a tweedy rusty-orange cushion (because it goes well with the other woven-wool one seen here underneath), and a Useful For Festivals sort-of-waterproof hat, which actually looks better on D than me. Net inward gains to the new household are still negative: the records are now all gone, the CDs nearly likewise (just one more bagful to tote up to Oxfam in Crouch End) and I’ve had a significant cull of books, not to mention chucking out a whole load of worn-out shoes and recycling some tatty clothes. Getting there in the minimalising quest, though of course, having some lapses… more to follow on that score.
