Purple psych and brain-food

Similarly in the soft-furnishings department, another find which was shortly passed on; couldn’t resist this retro-print cushion, 30p at a Brighton jumble sale, which no-one else seemed to want. How could I leave it behind? Still, it hasn’t survived the Near-To-Last Great Moving Cull of Things on the basis that I have a love-hate relationship with purple. Other jumble sale purchases that day – and the only item of clothing I actually kept for myself – included a very useful black mohair-ish jumper [below] as well as a stash of books [more below] promptly supplemented by a further stash [bottom]  from Oxfam Books in Turnham Green (very good source of reading material). Have been particularly struck by the John Berger pair so far; unfortunately these appear to be numbers two and three of a trilogy, first one not found, which is the way it goes sometimes with the Usual Shop.
