Tiny trinkets

1808_1Raiding my grandmother’s button collection (extensive, taking up five biscuit tins, numerous carrier bags and housed in a large basket in her box room) for a pair of buttons for the pockets of my Issey Miyake silk trenchcoat, I picked out a few little stray bits and pieces as well (thought to have been gained when buttons and sewing items from deceased neighbours were merged into the main collection). I feel a new charm necklace coming on, and like the bell – as dangled from a cat’s collar? – in particular, though I’m not sure who or what E might stand for. The buttons, by the way, weren’t a prefect match, but will do until I find some better ones.
