Christmas light

IMG_0232IMG_0233I’ll conclude this end-of-year round-up with a Christmas picture: my fireplace, featuring a splendid pair of tall white-painted metal candlesticks bought this morning from one of the house clearance/flea-markety stalls at the Brighton Marina car boot sale (£5). Not that I’m obsessed with pale monotone minimalism or anything, but they do look just right with the large string of fairy lights (from Sarah M in the Grand Swap-o-Rama, as related in earlier post). That’s the rug from my mother (October), by the way; agave plants descended from one I’ve now had for nearly 25 years. In this festive spirit, let me leave you with best wishes for Christmas, Season’s Greetings, Happy Holidays, winter celebrations or whatever you want to call it. Oh, and I mustn’t forget this plain, simple M&S jumper; £2, again from this morning’s market at the Marina.
