Checks and colour

IMG_0086Brighton Marina car boot sale, this morning: silk button-through checked skirt, of indeterminate vintage (£1), to the knee and high-waisted. My not-doing-pattern thing has stretched to allow checks or plaid along with stripes, polka dots or animal print, which I think is fair enough, and this is amusingly reminiscent of The Grunge Years (which I lived through first time around, I have to admit). I won’t be wearing it with army boots and laddered tights, I must stress. Underneath, a mustard yellow linen tablecloth (£2), a quite marvellous colour.
