Cuddly coats

Entirely the wrong time of the year to be thinking about coats, but you’ve got to grab these things when you see them (the Laughton jumble sale, a few weeks ago), especially when they’re only 50p each. First up, a wonderfully thick, heavy and cuddly fake fur (vintage), not that I would even have needed this over the past mild winter. A useful thing to have, though, and I like the way that the collar can be raised and buttoned to form a cosy funnel-neck. Second, a lightweight woven tweed (Elizabeth Emanuel) with bracelet-length sleeves and a swing-shape, more of a spring-autumn number and thus likely to see service first.
