The second sheepskin

P1010153P1010154P1010155If one sheepskin coat isn’t quite right, then try another… bought two on the same day. The first, a longer tan-coloured car coat, (£10 from a jumble sale in Stanford Avenue in the morning, more than I’d usually pay though it is in excellent condition) turned out to be a little too big for D (with whom I share a darker brown one which was my grandmother’s) and it was really a touch too Arthur Daley anyway. It’s gone for resale in a fine vintage emporium on Sydney Street… The second shorter one (£4 from Ringmer in the afternoon) is a keeper, though – it’s an ideal length for cycling and is properly toasty-warm.

Ah, and the other find from Ringmer that day: four lovely large brown-edged Midwinter dinner plates (£1).
