It never does to covet other people’s jumble sale finds, but I was rather envious that my friend Mike (aka, amongst many identities, Vibe Tiger) nabbed these Loake brogues at the Plumpton jumble a few weeks ago. Still, they didn’t fit him, and he has thus given them to me after all – but it’s not quite a case of all’s well that ends well, as they don’t fit me either. Bah humbug. Matthew, they’re a big size eight/a small nine – any good to you? I’ll pass the love on, as it were (figuratively speaking, boys). They do have a small split in the leather and will need new stick-on rubber soles, but are a quality shoe with considerable life left in them.
