Hang on, how did that happen? A whole pile of men’s cotton shirts? Ah well, I can distribute them between D and my various male bandmates – there are some useful white, grey and blue work-type ones there, plus a nicely-coloured check and a blue-and-white striped seersucker. From a jumble sale in Chailey, where I also found a couple of little cardigan/shrug-things for myself, a spotted scarf (to go in the Birthday Presents For Men-Friends box) and, for Deacon, to special request – a cricket jumper, to replace the one I previously gave him, which he shrank in the wash. It’ll come in handy for when we go and play at the Blyth Power Ashes festival later this summer. Folk-punk and cricket – what could be better?
