The colourful and the unexpected

P1000692And as if my own scavenging and accumulating were not enough, my mother has been collecting things for me from her car booting, forays to the charity shops of the near South Coast and other Usual Shopping. The luminescent fleece-lined top is a vile colour, but warm, light (and highly visble) for running in; the fluorescent Sam Browne belt is a good idea for night cycling. The cropped fake fur jacket is cute, too – and a better, less orangey colour than a similar one I had earlier in the year – but the prize find is undoubtedly the blue satchel. It ticks all the right boxes for shape and shade, and whilst it’s only a cheap cardboardy one (not a proper leather Cambridge Satchel Company job, sadly) it should be fun for this summer and last about as long as it’ll take me to have enough of the bright colour.

I’m building up for an absolutely bumper report on this week’s findings, by the way. Check back later this week for the lowdown on these, should you be so interested…
