A wealth of woollens

Picture 091Picture 092The final gains of 2012. First up, a very wide-necked, puffy-sleeved and very warm Benetton jumper, £4 from the St Vincent de Paul charity shop on Lewes Road; already scoring well in the everyday-practicality stakes. A couple of books: the Isabel Allende found in a box put out on my street, the book-which-preceded-the-film of Crazy Heart from the Cancer Research charity shop, Shoreham. (Also found in the street recently: a white oval stoneware plate). Striped gloves, from my mother; black beret, a friend’s unwanted Christmas present (it was covered in silver stick-on giant sequins, which I managed to pull off, with the help of a wire brush to remove the traces of glue). We won’t talk (yet) about all the various regifting which has gone on post-Christmas.
