Pigskin pouch – and some prettier things

Am loving this little leather bag, 50p from jumble sale at Arlington; it’s just very plain and simple, with a clip and brass-ringed strap, and is a useful size for days when I don’t want to haul too much crap around. The guy at Clever With Leather, Tidy Street (not my picture), who did a bit of restitching on it for a very reasonable £4, reckons it’s pigskin. The boudoir-esque pinkish satin purse (also 50p), meanwhile, has an entirely different vibe.

Other gains from Arlington #1: vintage cotton floral maxi-dress (very small, but will find it a home) and ’60s black blouse with gold-trimmed collars, a bit too polyester for my liking but again, it’ll find a home.
