Definitely had a jumper just like this in the ’80s. Not sure whether I can get away with it this time around, but it’ll cheer me up on a cold day when working from home, perhaps. Couldn’t resist it (20p from Chiddingly jumble sale). And on a similarly bright and ridiculously bold note – and probably donated by the same person – a Oriental-ish and quite sculptural turquoise silk jacket; will have to take out the shoulder pads, but it does have a bit of an air of the ’80s Japanese designers about it. To be worn with black. Oh, and two similarly retro flared/circle-y skirts, both an awkward mid-calf length but could be worn with black tights and flat lace-ups. I love that midnight blue colour.
