Colourful retro oddness

I’m running out of time again this week – where did it go? – so I’ll keep it brief, but these are the oddities of the last week or two’s haul: large selection of vintage headscarves and shawls, tweed cap, string-backed gloves, a Pringle patterned old-lady skirt, a wonderful ’70s shoulderbag, and a quite revolting but strangely appealing ’80s jumper, all 20-30p each from various jumble sales. Suffice to say I have, in the last week or two, taken a load of better-vintage stuff to a mate’s shop, offloaded a few more bags to a charity shop and to the Salvation Army collection bin, given a great deal more away and got rid of a fair few items at a clothes-swap. I’m also preparing to do a stall at the next Art Junky sale (Phoenix Arts, 24th/25th November): all proceeds to the Poor (Part-Time) PhD Student Fund.
