Accessorising at low cost

And the sort of find which makes Usual Shopping worthwhile: a very fine, plain and good-quality leather handbag, £3 from the Crowborough Hospital Fete. Plus two Akruba Australian stockman’s hats, £2 each (the Aussie equivalent of Stetsons) and good for festival rain-protection, and a pair of oxblood tasselled loafers (£2, but a bit too big for me, so they’ve been passed on). I do like a good cowboy hat, though I probably look utterly ridiculous. Not to be paired with a poncho, another favoured festival garment, however, because that would be going too far down the fancy-dress route.
