French blues and blousiness

Before we’d even checked into our hotel in Paris, I’d found a charity shop (Red Cross; Pigalle). Petit Bateau striped jersey – of course! – two euros  fifty cents, and a navy blue cotton skirt (Burton of, erm, England), three euros (given already to Maria). And the legendary Paris flea markets? Suitably splendid and fascinating for a poke-around,  but some rather eye-watering prices. Army surplus was cheap, though, and you know how I do like a good military jacket. Denim blouson (Italian), twenty euros up at Clignancourt, and worn every day since our return.

Adding to the week’s charity shop booty: silk-effect Top Shop blouse, bought mainly for its excellent retro buttons (four more on the back), £3 from the Debra shop in London Road, Brighton.
