Black and shiny

Remember Katrin’s black dress I gained at Sarah’s swish? I ripped its skirt beyond repair; the extremely vintage fabric was so fragile that it just wouldn’t hold together and there was little I could do other than cut it into a top… which has turned out rather successfully. Not sure how long it will last for (I will be wearing it with a camisole or vest underneath, as it is very, very delicate and I am very, very clumsy), but I’m hoping it’ll do some service in my summer wardrobe.

Arranged not-very-artfully: pinking shears and a selection of cheap costume jewellery (clip-on earrings, brooches, cocktail ring) from my granny, originally my great-aunt’s. Not worth photographing: rather too many glass baking dishes, products of my granny’s latest cupboard clear-out.
