Cold comfort

Terrible photos this week, sorry. Braved the cold weather to go with C to a Turners’ Hill jumble sale – got home just before it snowed – and made a modest haul. I swapped a pair of polka-dot pyjamas with her for this brown wraparound dress (label unknown). Will probably now pass it on to a work colleague as I really can’t work out how to wear wrap dresses without feeling like a parcel with string round the middle. Dangly, jingly lampshade (30p), probably too noisy to use inside the house but being decorative in the conservatory till I work out what to do with it. Total spend, £3.50; brown waistcoat has gone to Andy T and the very cute little dress with horsy pattern to his daughter, which leaves me with the Next sundress plus (not pictured) a plain black cardigan (in need of new buttons) and a smock-necked long-sleeved black T-shirt. C was pleased with a wooden bead necklace, some tweedy trousers for work, a warm funnel-necked black anorak and a ceramic baking dish, as well as her pyjamas.
