Wrong, in retrospect

There’s that fine line to be drawn when wearing relatively recent retro, and I sure as hell stepped over it with this jacket. Note to self: just because skinny young art students can get away with ironic hippyish/ethnic early ’90s clothing does not mean that the rest of us can. Embroidered, woven velvety jacket, £1.50 from jumble sale at Plumpton; made me look like a mad old crystal-collecting cat lady. Ditto the brown shirt (20p, Ringmer the week after), though I did only buy that as a joke to scare Lucy. Finally got round to doing a car boot sale last weekend and sold the jacket pronto before I was tempted to wear it again.
