Silk, spoilt

This is why I daren’t spend too much money on silken things: dark blue/purple silk dress (Gap), bought for £5 at the Upper Gardner Street Saturday market, spoilt that very same afternoon in an accident involving buttered toast. Anyone got any handy hints on how to remove such oily stains? I’ve tried the usual Ecover delicates handwash. Still, no matter – thankfully, the stain is on the silly frilly bit at the bottom, and I actually think I shall prefer this as a blouse. Will chop it into one soon.
