Steam fair foraging

This is C, proudly displaying her purchase at the Tinkers Park Steam Fair, Hadlow Down. Quite apart from a wonderous display of steam-belching machinery, traction engines, fairground organs (and the rather disturbing Mouse Village) there were stalls with secondhand garden tools  and ornaments, Land Rover parts, automotive bits ‘n’ pieces, furniture, crockery and pottery, and general bric-a-brac. Never a retail opportunity missed; iron plant stand (now painted white), £3.
