To the right of this smorgasbord of a birthday tea-party are the pair of bent-wood Viennese-style cafe chairs I found in the street some time back. I’m currently debating whether to paint them white as they’re tatty (with what appear to be teeth-marks on the legs, presumably – hopefully – from a dog). They may be pressed into more than a back-up role for when we have guests, since those chrome-framed chairs are on the verge of expiry. I was going to have them re-upholstered but since we’ve decided that we want a smaller, wooden table now (on which I can use a sewing machine) we might as well get rid of the whole set.
So for sale: one retro glass dining table (good nick, a couple of tiny scratches and chips) with chromed frame and four matching chairs with white vinyl covers which need replacing (canvas would work, and I’ve been quoted £25 a chair plus fabric from a local upholsterer to do the job). Chromed frames fine with only a little age-related flaking and pitting. Offers? More pictures to follow.
