The shirt selection

A particularly random selection of old lady shirts (20p each, jumble sale in Laughton). Green and white striped with pie-crust collar (very Sloaney, very ’80s); brown checked, smock-shaped; striped Jaeger blouse; floral short-sleeved cotton top; grey checked with lovely covered buttons; lime green ’80s with big shoulders and wide sleeves. Bizarrely, and in a radical departure from my normal policy on wearing colour, the lime green is my current favourite. The smocky brown is my new gardening shirt, however, and is well-accessorised with a trowel, headscarf to restrain madwoman hair, and muddy knees.
