Has it really been over six weeks since I last posted? My collecting in this period has been sporadic due to weekend engagements, family commitments and other activities precluding bargain-hunting, though I have been by no means abstemious. There have been various clothes-swaps amongst friends, resulting in gained/relinquished items too numerous to detail here (and insufficiently interesting: we’re talking wardrobe basics), but the reviving of my car (cheers, Phil!) has meant that I was at least back on the road again in time for the Easter jumble and car boot sales. I think this little batch came from a jumble at Laughton: man’s paisley silk-backed scarf, striped silk tie, wide dark red leather belt (already proven useful over a black dress or two), green stoneware casserole dish (actually now housing odds and ends in the bathroom) and a leopard-print vest top. Plus tapestry bag, from C’s clear-out (given to my mother).
