Odd but useful

At a jumble sale in Cooksbridge I was asked if I wanted to ‘take a few extra items’ as they couldn’t give me the right change. I had already been through the clothes a few times but thought I might as well have this large yellow cagoule (for good visibility when bike-riding), large grey lambswool cardigan (very warm, very useful) and cropped tweed trousers with interesting trimmings (given to Lucy, who has worn them lots of times already). Funnily enough, these things have already proved far more useful than my original finds for which I needed the change (two very dull cotton dresses, two white man’s shirts, a green silk handkerchief, all since given away and which looked far too boring in the photo for me to bother uploading it).
