Classic selection

I’m not very good at buying classic items, sometimes. The thing about these is that a. they have to fit properly and b.  they need to be in good condition. Three mistakes from a Chailey jumble sale, though at least they cost just 20p each. Pink Hampstead Bazaar silk top for summer beach-wear (stained, though this wouldn’t be noticeable with a wide belt over the top; Sarah M, one for you as you’re so clever at cleaning damaged fabric?); striped M&S top on a nautical theme (too large, very frumpy, very ageing); navy chinos, brand-new but too big and hugely, hugely unflattering.
