Shift work

Jumble sales in Laughton (excellent), Chailey (rubbish) and Firle (not great) last Saturday; womenswear – or indeed, much for me personally – somewhat thin on the ground. Pale cream cotton shift dress (plain but potentially useful) and chunky handknitted granny cardigan (always good for working at home, ‘cos we’re too tight to turn the central heating on till December). The colour of the cardigan is, I believe, called teal – if I believe the labels on the paint samples at Wickes. Or is it kingfisher? PS: I’m loving the new kitchen floor.
