Some guy at the Brighton Marina boot fair a couple of weeks ago was selling the contents of an elderly auntie’s house; she’d obviously liked this black corduroy jacket (early 1960s, I think, with pretty striped grey satin lining) so much she bought it twice. So did I: the two were in different sizes, it was still very cold and I was wearing too many layers of clothing to bother trying ’em on, so I just bought them both (£3). The smaller one’s a bit tight over the shoulders, so I’ll pass that one on. The same lady, a former art teacher, had quite an interesting wardrobe and I liked the striped button-through red woollen skirt too (£1). From another stall: brown bangle (£1) and fancy green tights (brand new and still in packet, 50p).
