Didn’t get a chance to capture a shot of this checked cape – yes! another cape! – before I went away, and I’d forgotten about it by the time I came back. As far as I can remember, it was £6 from the PDSA charity shop off London Road, same source as the grey duffel coat. It’s woolly, it’s warm, and it’s coming to festivals with me this summer. I’ve got rid of the others, by the way, just keeping a fluffy mohair number. Also fit for a festival, though not necessarily in the same outfit, is the first proper summer dress of the year, an Indian cotton printed shift (£4, car boot sale at Brighton Marina). It’s dark blue and sheer with a delicate white print, though it just looks spotty in this picture.
