Cape crusade

usual shop september 2009 018I continue to argue that the cape is the perfectly-evolved garment for festivals and outdoor parties, as well as a very practical alternative to a coat with sleeves. I’m pleased with this Welsh wool number, £3 from car boot sale at Shoreham, and am seeing plenty of possibilities for it this autumn. The 1950s bright raspberry jumper’s Scottish lambswool, and I like its tie-bow collar. Very ladylike; £1 from Sayers Common boot sale .
