The flowery blue cotton dress is rather too middle-aged, but the old-lady brown knitted dress has possibilities: belted, over leather knee-boots it might just work. The 1970s chiffon-y pale flimsy thing is the best of the three (20p each from the Rushlake Green WI jumble sale) and has a certain charm.
The ladies of the WI were much amused by the wares donated and ‘the funny old things you find in the garage’. Just the sort of funny old things I like. Much amusement as they tried to work out who had donated a box of books which included a guide to successfully having an affair, and another on how to put the spark back into one’s marriage… scandal in the village could ensue.
