Brown tea pot

Another granny find this week (20p, boot sale). Her neighbour R was having a clear-out of his garage recently and sent round a large box of assorted crockery, glassware, ornaments and miscellaneous bric-a-brac for me; I was particularly pleased with a large tea pot – a proper British-made ‘Brown Betty’ which had belonged to R’s mother, now deceased. Sadly, I promptly broke the spout whilst washing it out, but my grandmother has come up trumps with this one instead. She has offered to knit me a cosy. I shall take up serving leaf tea to my guests, with cake and biscuits at all times.
